Bronwyn Handley is the Principal and Owner of Switch Realty, bringing decades of hands-on experience across every facet of the real estate industry, including Residential Sales, Property Management, Commercial and Industrial, and Land Marketing.
Bronwyn’s career path has been shaped by a wealth of life experience and a strong sense of adventure. An early career change led her to the hospitality industry and a move to the Northern Territory, where she spent three years living and working on a remote property south-east of Alice Springs before relocating into Alice Springs itself.
Her passion for travel soon took her overseas, where a planned six-month holiday turned into a seven-year international career. After travelling extensively through Africa, Spain and the UK, Bronwyn settled in London and secured a role as a Tour Manager with Contiki Holidays. This position saw her leading groups of up to 50 clients across Europe, including Russia and Scandinavia, while also travelling independently through South America and Mexico. These years refined her leadership, communication and people-management skills—qualities that continue to define her professional approach today.
On returning to Australia, Bronwyn committed to her long-term career in real estate. Having worked across Property Management, Residential Sales, and Commercial Sales and Leasing, she quickly established herself as a highly skilled and well-rounded industry professional.
In 2004, Bronwyn and respected colleague Barry Niebling founded Switch Realty in Ipswich as a boutique agency focused on quality service. Following Barry’s sudden passing in 2006, Bronwyn restructured the business into a Sole Director company and has since grown it from strength to strength. Her focus remains on combining cutting-edge real estate technology with continuous professional training to deliver exceptional results for clients—without losing the personalised service that defines a boutique agency.
Bronwyn is driven by the belief that clients deserve the same level of service she would expect herself. Her philosophy is simple:
“We don’t have to be the biggest — we just have to be the best.”
